Dear Colleagues and Patients,

The Sojourn Center Team wanted to take a moment to update you on our response to the Covid-19 virus.  We value you and your health and seek to keep all those we serve as well as our team safe and healthy during this time in our country and the World.  Our team has developed protocols for deep cleaning and sanitizing daily and are rigorously following the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.  We have implemented a screening questionnaire to assist in this process as well that is administered to all new potential patients as well as our current patients daily. We are encouraging only those seeking treatment to visit Sojourn Center at this time to keep exposure to a minimum. Our team, as well as our patients, have been trained on how to keep exposure to a minimum as well as guidelines for healthy hygiene and infection control.  We are also limiting the number of patients at both locations to ensure we are following the recommendations of gatherings of 10 or less.  We do currently have slots available at both locations to treat those in need of partial hospitalization and/or intensive outpatient treatment for mental health primary and/or substance use disorder secondary and will continue to serve those in need.  Should it become necessary Sojourn Center is looking at other options for care should we be unable to gather in person. Below is a list of protocols implemented at Sojourn Center:

  • Deep cleaning of the facility in the mornings and evenings.

  • Wiping down all commonly touched areas every two hours.

  • Handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds for all team members and patients upon entering the facility and every one to two hours and during all break times in treatment.

  • Hand washing before and after using the restroom and after touching one’s face.

  • Prescreening of potential patients and current patients for symptoms of Covid -19 and travel to areas affected by Covid-19 and potential exposure to someone testing positive for the virus.

  • Ongoing daily screening of current patients and staff for symptoms of Covid -19 and potential exposure to someone testing positive for the virus.

  • Limiting exposure to large gatherings.

  • Patient and staff education regarding Covid-19, healthy hygiene and infection control.

Sojourn Center is working closely with the local health departments to ensure we are following all directives and protocols to reduce risk and keep those we treat as well as our team safe and healthy. Those feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of Covid -19 are encouraged to stay home and contact their physician. If you need additional information or have questions, please feel free to contact Sojourn Center at (469) 640-3001.

Kindest Regards,

The Sojourn Center Team
